Wonderhood Makers were tasked with translating the ATL campaign for Starling’s latest brand platform - The Bank Built For You (TBBFY).​

Makers approached this through three keyways from reshooting the TV scripts into social - first formats all shot on iPhone, using the same cast from the 3x AV stories and giving them more layers in new online scenarios and content to creating standalone, trend-driving content.​

In Rinsed, a determined daughter negotiates for more pocket money from her mother after cleaning the car, unimpressed with the initial transfer to her Starling Kite app. This came to life on social media through using trending audio related to Finance Bro culture.

The Dessert features a daughter embarrassed by her parents' affectionate displays, prompting her to contribute money to her Starling 'Move Out' Saving Space to speed up her goal of moving out. The social adaption tapped into ‘icks’ a trending hashtag on Tiktok as the daughter cringed at her parents giving her the ‘ick.’

Ultimately, by seizing the opportunities presented by TikTok's first formats, current trends, integrating socially-oriented scripts, and introducing the interactive 'spot the prop' contest the social campaign enhanced the depth of the above-the-line storytelling and engagement with our audience. This approach, characteristic of Wonderhood Makers collaborative and creative style, sets a rare standard in advertising.
