National Theatre Live | The Best Seat in the House

To deepen brand love and attract new audiences, National Theatre Live needed a brand film that could accompany every screening while extending its reach across social. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, the 85-second film uses a single wooden chair as a metaphor for NT Live's promise: the best seat in the house, every time. As the chair moves through a series of theatrical worlds, it captures the emotion, spectacle, and intimacy of live performance before ending on an empty stage with Cumberbatch's invitation: "One performance. An audience of millions. All from the best seat in the house." The campaign reinforced NT Live's mission to democratise world-class theatre.
